692 Beach Program Minimize

692 is a program designed to expose juniors to competitive Beach Volleyball. Beach Volleyball for juniors is quickly gaining popularity in Texas and two summers ago we started a program called 692 that immediately became the most elite Beach Volleyball program in the Southwest, with it’s players dominating Regionals and going on to California to compete in Nationals. Our players last year were featured in several newspaper articles and in Volleyball Magazine as "stars of the future". Beach Volleyball is an amazing tool for developing your hitting, defense, and ball control. Ask any high school or college coach in the country and they will tell you that Beach Volleyball is the quickest way to develop your game.

Congratulations to the 54 players that made the 692 roster.

The cost for the summer is $680. This fee can be broken down into a $380 payment at the tryout and a $300 payment due on June 11th. This fee includes facility rentals, uniforms, balls for the players, training equipment for each player, coaching fees, and administrative expenses. It does not include tournament entry fees or travel expenses to California, as all tournaments are optional for each player. Teams will have the option of playing in all tournaments or skipping some if both partners agree. Each tournament is an individual event with a team entry fee of around $20 or $40 ($10-$20 each) and players can pick and choose which events they want to play in. Girls will be placed with partners, but will have the option of changing partners if they think they would be more successful with someone else. In beach volleyball you could play the whole season with the same partner or have a different partner every tournament. You don't need a partner to tryout, but if you have one you'd like to play with then that's fine too.

While most programs are trying to expose as many girls as possible to the sport, our program a small, elite team, coached by professional beach volleyball players. 692 will be practicing twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30-3:30 at Yucatan Beach Club in Coppell. We will be playing in several Monday night tournaments, several weekend tournaments, Regionals, and then going to Huntington Beach, California to play in Nationals in July.

Players who win Regionals will win a free entry to Nationals, but teams that don't win Regionals can still go to Nationals by paying the $70 entry fee, so any team that wants to go to California can go. We are not looking to build a large program, just a great one.
